BUSINESS LAB

Business Lab is the organizational unit responsible for the practical business education, including the specialist courses conducted according to the approach of practical, vocational business education.      

The model combines both training in theory and practical skills. The specialist training includes modules of theoretical knowledge according to the programme of the selected specialist course.    

During a workshop the participants will use the methods of analytical and creative thinking, and using business simulators take up the leadership of their own virtual enterprise.    

The main competences resulting from the conducted vocational courses are: 

  • establishment and development of start-ups, including e-commerce,
  • knowledge on the traditional and online marketing tools,
  • international business including marketing, finance, business management and environment,
  • corporate finance, in particular hybrid financing and green financial instruments,
  • business management including strategies, managerial economics and managerial competences. 

LANGUAGE LAB 

The Language Lab is a unit of the Warsaw Economic Institute conducting language courses, including English,

German and Polish. The language courses are also offered for foreigners needed language knowledge for work

and study in Poland. The Language Lab offers  preparatory English courses for B2 level, the courses of Polish language

for foreigners, and other language courses on request. The Lab jest responsible for preparing the language learning

programmes, coursebooks, tests, on-line platforms according to the needs and expectations of our students.

CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION 

The Center for International Education conducts the research on economic issues relating to education,

including the demand for education, the financing and provision of education, and the comparative

efficiency of various educational programs and policies. Of particular importance are the last innovative

trends transforming higher education: integrating systems thinking, man vs machine, creating sustainable

communities, blending education and assessing competence.

CENTER FOR MIGRATION POLICY

The aim of the Center for Migration Policy is to conduct research that leads to new ideas for solving

the problem of migration, border crises and to moblize movement to work together in this field.

Our research relates to migration management, in particular to the process of integration of immigrants

in the destination country, need of new regulation in the area of labour market, residence policy. Of particular

importance is the immigration policy in Poland and the need to design the solutions for creating education

and job possibilities, stability and longterm residence.  

The Center’s research priorities in the area of migration are:

CENTER FOR ECONOMIC INEQUALITY RESEARCH

The main activity of the Center for Economic Inequality Research is conducting the studies on the poverty,

income inequalities and marginalization. Of particular importance is inclusive economy which means creating

more sustainable and inclusive societies that aim at including all members of society in the growth process.

Inclusiveness stresses the participation of people in economic and social institutions. We research the problem of

income inequalities growing worldwide. We analyse the extent of global income, the scale of economic inequality

across the countries identifying the casues, consequences and solutions, necessary to tackle income inequality.

The Center’s research priorities in the area of economic inequalities are:

  • Global, regional and natural poverty trends

CENTER FOR THREE SEAS INITIATIVE STUDIES 

The Free Seas Initiative (Baltic, Adriactic and Black Seas) was designed in 2015 to promote regional cooperation

between 12 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, in particular to expand cross-border energy, transportation

and digitalization efforts.  The Member States of the TSI are: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic,

Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria. The aim of the Center for Three Seas Initiative Studies

is conducting scientific research on the economic,  infrastructure and education development in the countries of the

Three Seas Initiative.
