SHARING ECONOMY, CREATIVE INDUSTRY, CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The aim of the Warsaw Economic Institute is to conduct research that leads to new ideas for solving current problems facing economy at the local, national and global level.

We research the problems relating to latest trends in global and national economies, for example the issue of depopulation across the countries and consequences for labour markets and spread of the digital revolution.

Of particular importance is development of the circular economy as a model of production and consumption, which involves sharing, refusing, repairing and recycling existing materials and products, to redefine growth, focusing on positive society-wide benefits.

As for an entrepreneurship our research develops methods and tools used by start-ups. The main types of the activities are: quantitative and qualitative research, analytical and applied works, descriptive and conclusive research.

The institute’s research priorities in the area of ECONOMICS and BUSINESS in 2022 are:

  • Economic growth issues
  • Creative industries
  • Green economics
  • Sharing economy
  • Jobs and unemployment
  • Budget and taxes
  • Economic potential of renewable energy sources
  • Circular economy
